25 Vocabulary Trifold Activities for Word Nerds

These vocabulary trifolds provide students with a structured format for quick, daily vocabulary practice with ANY word list. Students think critically and creatively as they analyze words and word meanings. The activities included are designed to encourage consistent review that takes approximately 10-20 minutes to complete, making this a great resource for daily use in centers and small groups, for early finishers, and as homework!

Five open ended trifolds are included, which contain 25 activities in all. Each trifold has a cover page and five sections for Monday-Friday assignments, which may be completed in any order you or your students choose. Each day, students choose vocabulary words (from a class list or word wall) to focus on. Words may be used more than once or new words may be chosen daily. The trifolds may be used for multiple content areas and mixed and matched to create fresh options throughout the year!

As teachers teach Common Core standards, vocabulary development is essential. As students expand their vocabulary, they think more critically and communicate more effectively. (They will also be better prepared for standardized testing!) These trifolds are one way to help integrate meaningful vocabulary practice in your classroom.
